There’s something nasty in the woodshed
09/07/2009 by Rosemary.
Dobby (the black wether) has fallen passionately in love with Angelina Jolie ( the lamb originally called Angelica Houston) and continues to have head butting contests with Mossop (the male lamb). Dobby gets so excited when the lambs run, he now does Kung Fu kicks almost as well as the lambs.
I got a shock tonight when I opened the door to the woodshed. My mushroom experiment appears to have gone horribly wrong. I spent ages watering a bale, covering it in alpaca poo, pushing it down, rewatering it, covering it in newspaper with mushroom spawn underneath (as you can tell I had no idea what I was doing). Well tonight I opened the door to the woodshed and the bale started twitching - a colony of frogs have moved into it and, if there were any mushrooms, they have eaten them!
Sam ordered a CCTV camera and it arrived today - it’s brilliant - currently he is lying in bed watching the garden ( he could just pull the curtains back but I suppose that is too simple). We are going to rig it up in the back of the livestock trailer to keep an eye on the alpacas whilst travelling (and go badger watching and watch the girls from the caravan at night!) It has night vision on it so should be good fun.
Alpaca magazine arrived this morning so I am now off to read that.
