Pictures courtesy of Mark the Marine
It has rained persistently all day. Blandford this morning for quick haircuts, the boys not me, and then Carl shocked me by offering to manage waste in the boys paddock. I was so stunned I forgot there were only 3 boys and there are 13 in the girls paddock I was doing - no wonder he finished first! It must have taken its toll, however, as he poured over the Poo picker brochures at lunchtime. Mark the Marine and Sophisticated Sarah arrived in the afternoon and Mark brought his camera so, thanks to him, I finally have some pictures to upload. All alpacas were sopping wet throughout. The first picture is little Yoda, the premature cria.
This next one is Lily, the suri.
Now we have Emily, Carolyn’s daughter.
The next one is Frank. Mark took lots of other photos but for some reason the Blog seems unable to cope with any more than this in one post so Alfie and the sheep will have to wait for tomorrow. Mark was strangely taken with Frank, the blue eyed white and I fear Frank has cast some strange spooky spell over him as the lambs all appear to have striking blue eyes in the pictures he has taken (which they don’t have in real life!).
The afternoon ended with squeals and girlish giggles from the boys as they played on the bank on the Beamish and the quad. This is the human boys obviously and not the alpacas (they have more sense). Carl is now doing something with a petrol tank, a kettle and a marble - I have no idea what!

I hear that on the continent the blue eyed alpaca is now a rarity and is now becoming very desirable…….hhmmm perhaps caravans and bikes are more my forte
