Camelidynamics
14/07/2009 by Rosemary.
Back to Mum and Dad’s this morning and I took the opportunity to go to ASDA with Mum. I managed to get Sam’s school uniform for September for under £20 - amazing! Better still, Sam is really pleased with the blazer as it has a zipped inner pocket. Mum and Dad both look well and Mum has mastered online food shopping! She’s quicker than I ever was!
This evening we checked over all the girls and the cria. All are looking good but Islay is a bit of a heavy weight still. They get no supplements and we topped their field so we’ll just have to hope Yoda and Frank keep chasing her!
Tonight I booked a Camelidynamics course. Carl was going to take me for a meal for my special birthday but I would much, much rather do this. If you want to find out about Camelidynamics look at Carthvean Alpacas web site. It is a fascinating way of working with alpacas. We have the book but it is not the same as someone showing you in real life. We saw Julie Taylor Browne, who is running the course, working with alpacas at a show and it was really good. Trouble is I am now going to want all the wands and things!
Rain is hammering down at the moment and Carl is studying the weather forecast, tapping the barometer and hunting for seaweed. He has pencilled in Monday for cutting the hay
