Billie Jean is not my . . . . !

If you are not me, which obviously you are not, you may find tonight’s blog a little tedious.  I have had a terrific day - out with my new best mate Muffin (named by Toad Hall Alpacas) interspersed by fingerless glove knitting, sometimes both at the same time!  I have mastered (not very well) the art of knitting gloves on a circular needle - not as easy as it sounds, or at least not easy for a beginner knitter.  I was up until well past midnight last night trying to do it, someone who had been knitting for 40 years said it was impossible but I knew it couldn’t be.  I nearly gave up but I have finally done it!  I am very proud of it - I know I need to work on a few details like the odd hole appearing where I increase stitches.  Now I just have to develop an exciting (!) pattern - oh, and knit the other one.  I am typing this with one very warm hand!

I was very glad of Muffin’s cab again today as the weather has been foul - damp and misty.  I kept dry whilst Muffin and I collected waste and sang whilst waving our solitary gloved hand (the glove came off during the actual act of waste management - don’t want it ruined before I knit the other one!).  Half the time the alpacas were shrouded in a deep fog - suddenly looming out looking wet and dirty BUT the grass is growing and you can really see the difference from the top of second field.  Tomorrow my hedging plants should arrive so lots of planting (and knitting!)
